Learning to Earn!

You may already know that there are two kinds of imaginationsynthetic and creative.

Synthetic imagination is reworking former solutions to come up with a new puzzle or map to solve an issue.

Creative imagination is the entrance of an idea via universal energy that flows from form, to form (you and me), through form (us) and back into form (manifestation).

PROBLEM: Creative imagination is programmed OUT of us while we are in school.

How many times did I hear, “Leslie stop day dreaming and pay attention to the lesson!”?

Right. It was actually the DAYDREAMING that should have been cultivated … not the lessons!
But oh, well, so it is for all of us. We learn to shut down for the most part creative imagination. Some of us NEVER learn to evoke it again!

Creative imagination is required for success. Leslie Flowers 2012

All ideas are available to all of us. You can tell how true this is when you had an idea that you ‘let go’ and someone else, sometime later, executed your EXACT idea!

If you don’t grasp and hold the idea in your conscious awareness, fall in love with it and hold it top-of-mind, consistently and over time, unfortunately, it will never manifest for you.

Really, though it isn’t our fault. We simply were ‘unaware’ of what was happening. Now we know and we can DO something to ‘reprogram’ our selves and restore access to creative imagination.

3767729028_6278b420eaSpent quality time with my 4 grandchildren this weekend (ages 7, 7, 5, and 4) and here is what I noticed as I watched them play school, play American Idol, and all sorts of games ….

They only have CREATIVE IMAGINATION! There has been no time to ‘have’ former experiences from which to draw, as they just now are arriving at the age of reason. This is when their conscious mind is coming of age (forming).

It is beautiful to watch how they developed these games and characters. They were literally FLOODED with imaginative ideas, one after another, in what seemed to be a never-ending stream.

I cannot end this piece without giving you pointers on how you can rebuild and resurrect your creative imagination. For this type works with intuition and is the closest communications we humans will ever have with the Universe or God.

  1. Come up with one thing you really, really want. Note it is not what you need … what you WANT.
  2. Write it down as though 1) time and money were NOT ISSUES FOR YOU, and 2) you have ALREADY ACHIEVED IT.
  3. Add color, form, weather and others in the description.
  4. Add how you feel, having already achieved this dream!
  5. Revisit it weekly and tweak and add details to it.

Not only will you find you are ‘getting’ words and ideas creatively from the universe as they ‘pop,’ via Ethernet, into your head, you are also building the ‘mental muscle’ of imagination again!

And oh, by the way, you will like see this dream show up because the ‘feeling’ you have imagining yourself already having what you want with great detail, establishes the perfect vibration to attract whatever you need into your arena to see the dream fulfilled!

The Art of Setting Intentions

Art of Setting IntentionsWe do this all the time … set ‘intentions.’ It’s like breathing! It’s not unlike walking from here to there. Because we walk from one room to the other (and have done so all our lives), does not mean walking is an ‘art’ for us. Those who practice ‘walking’ and use it as a tool for health or sports, as example, can really get in the flow and turn ‘walking’ into an Art.

Setting intentions is typically done by default and without distinction of the process. And it is not done with any consistency, so consistent results are not reaped. When intention setting is done ‘on purpose,’ and with clear use of the distinguishable process from beginning to end, the result, which very few enjoy, is the ability to establish true Faith around setting any intention or experiencing it as an ‘art.’ And from Faith comes our Belief that whatever intention we set, we get (without violating the rights of others, of course).

Default, unintentional, intention setting occurs when you plan a birthday party. What is it we do when we plan a party? We begin with the end in mind, first (thank you Stephen Covey for you 2nd habit of 7). We picture the party, set the date, pick the location, choose the decorations, the food, the music, the gifts, and the attendees. The clearer the picture of the party, the closer to fruition it will come. We planned it!

Then of course we work ‘backward’ to the present, figuring what has to be done when and where to ‘pull it off.’ It’s fun. When we are doing something we love, the intentions are more likely to show up. Why? Because the emotion, feeling or vibration of happiness and love, is the precise context and vibration required to make a connection with the universe.

Whatever we are intending (on purpose or by default) is already on its way to us, as we move toward it! If we aren’t paying attention to what we are intending, we get what we get and it is based on how we are feeling, which sets our attracting vibration. So if ‘it’s a poor economic market’ is what we think of most of the time, our personal results are proof that it IS a poor market. We can however think the opposite as based on the universal law of polarity, while it is a poor market, it also must be a great market. If we believe WE are the right person and people are ‘looking for us’ with our skills, when we look for positions, they are right there in front of us. So both exist simultaneously.  A good incentive to start really ‘thinking’ about what we are thinking about!

The visualizing of the ‘end’ is a key in artful intention setting. The more specific, the more detail, the more sure you can be of it happening the way you see it. And above all, the intention to be ‘artful’ must be ‘seen’ as though it already happened – in present tense!

So we do it and absolutely could easily be an expert at it. Without consistency and distinction, however, Faith in the process is not built. From Faith comes BELIEF that we can set intentions and have them show up at will. We never out-perform what we believe we are capable of achieving, so if we don’t ‘see the process’ and ‘measure it’ for ourselves, we don’t believe it works … and what we believe … we get.

To be artful in any endeavor we must have perfect Faith in the process and we achieve that when we do things on purpose and intentionally. We hear ‘have Faith,’ yet does anyone every say HOW to develop
Faith?
Rarely, so I will.

Developing Faith in intention setting (and getting) comes in three distinct phases. You can ‘build it’ on purpose for whatever you want to ‘believe’ you are capable of achieving.

Repetition is the 1st Law of Learning. That means we learn by hearing and addressing material in spaced consistent intervals over time. That’s how we learned out multiplication tables, remember?  We didn’t review them only on Mondays. We did it every day or every other day, at the same time, the same way, for months. Now if I’m asked to this day what 9×7 is, I know 63 without thinking. So do you.

When you set an intention and think about it, laugh about it, visualize it, add color, form, weather, etc., over time, you begin to expect the intention to occur. Expect means you now believe it is ‘likely to occur.’ This is phase 1 of building perfect Faith.

As you continue to visualize the outcome or intention over time, you then believe it will happen … that is you now have a ‘firm opinion’ that it will occur as you have intended. That is phase 2 of building perfect Faith.

And finally with this continuation of behavior, you will develop perfect Faith that your intention will occur. That is you don’t need any measurements of proof … you KNOW that it will happen and no one can change your mind. That is phase 3.

Setting intentions is a process and the final result – perfect Faith in making intention setting an Art – does not show up like the proverbial ‘light bulb’ moment. No. It sneaks in and nips you on the heel. You now have set so many intentions and followed the process of developing Faith in the universal process and your ability, you know that you know it works … and are enjoying ‘playing’ with your life design.

7-Step Process for Setting Artful Intentions for Consistent Manifestation:

  1. Set the intention or outcome you desire.
  2. Be very specific about the intention with lots of details. [I want money vs. I want $10,000.]
  3. Picture it already a ‘done deal.’ How great does it feel?
  4. Get excited when you think about your intention. It’s that vibration that begins the process.
  5. Write out your intention in long hand and review and add to it every week.
  6. Make a 10 minute appointment with yourself a few times a week (and keep it) to review your written statement of intention.
  7. Keep your intention to yourself until you have perfect Faith in the outcome.

This is not a challenging process, so try it on. You can start with intending you get a good parking spot at the mall. Do this consistently, and when spots begin to show up consistently for you, you are already on your way to believing you are capable of co-creating with the universe and its consistent laws via Artful Intention.

Goals- Intentions- or Resolutions?

goal1
Goal: the end toward which effort is directed
Intention: a determination to act in a certain way
Resolution: the act of determining or solving

As we again turned the corner on another year – 2013 – we are faced with these three words: goal, intention, and resolution. Note that they are distinct from one another. There is no need to be confused. Because the opposite or confusion is Order; and order is the first Law of our universe, we take action when we are clear and thoughts are orderly; and we tend to do nothing when we face confusion.

1. Goal setting works. It works when you have accurate information on the how to’s. Since we have never been taught those how to’s in school, what little information we have about setting goals, rarely leads us to experience reaching them, as most information is inaccurate. There simply is not enough information available to be effective. Those who seek to learn what the 3-5% of folks who DO set and reach goals know, can easily join that group with a little learning.
2. Intentions are always top of mind. When I intend for example to see the ‘greatness in others,’ it is a reminder every day so it soon becomes a habit.
3. Resolutions follow evaluating or determining an issue or challenge. I resolve to do this from now on; or that.

This is the time of year when the smartest of the 95% of those who are unaware of the facts around setting effective goals and do not thrive or live abundantly, come up with excuses and justifications to NOT set goals. You’ll hear ‘goal setting doesn’t work’ as example, and for that person, they do not! They really believe it and so they live in a state of survive in lieu of thrive. They want everyone to think that way … as there is comfort in numbers.

I am reminded of the phrase “the masses have always been wrong about everything, and always will be.” It takes a bit of courage to step into the 3-5% … courage to step away from the crowd, to have faith, and to be in action, rather than sitting around, one more year, complaining how goal setting doesn’t work.

When you are ready, the right teacher will be there to take your hand and teach you the universal truth about setting goals. Proper goal settings is in perfect harmony with universal law and living in abundance! Reach out and accept their assistance so you are not one of the masses, living one year 90 times, rather than 90 consecutive years.

If you are ready and in the Raleigh NC area on Friday Jan. 11, from 9-1 pm, you can have your mindset on goal setting completely transformed in 4 hours. Is that all you have to do? Of course not! You have some upkeep after the workshop, but it is easy. DETAILS  (click).

Shift-Ware

las-mananitasWhat if there was a technology that measured your growth and shifts in conscious awareness? How wonderful would that be? Well, in fact, there is such a thing! Let me tell you about shift-ware!

I am talking about self monitoring and measuring when practice of a new habit or way of being that you have intentionally improved, actually ‘takes over’ – that is, it now has the weight and intensity required to be the ‘habit of choice.’ The old ones (habits/beliefs) have had their teeth into us for so when a new habit actually ‘over writes’ an old habit (none of them ever disappear of course as you cannot erase matter and thoughts are things) is quite an undertaking and worth noting.

I have taken to looking at my own behavior as either from the ‘head’ (ego/belief driven) or the ‘heart’ (faith/intuition driven).  Both are available to us at all times, however, only ONE is prevalent in any given moment. And the most powerful one is typically the behavior or belief that limits our reaching our potential.

What better example of self monitoring shift-ware than in myself to explain?

Last week I was attending a wedding of a dear friend in Mexico.  Amid all the hub-bub (and believe me a Catholic wedding in Mexico is serious and has lots of lovely details) I found a two hour slot to nap. I needed it. On that Friday afternoon I crawled into my bed and closed my eyes. Situated at the end of the property, there was construction going on in the next building.

My old way of being would be to think “I’m going to call the desk and get them to stop hammering! How dare they disturb my nap time!” That’s the head, the ego, still showing up as the world revolves around me. Know the feeling?

What happened was astounding and instantaneous. What I heard myself thinking was “how wonderful that these people are working! They are blessed to be able to feed their families.”

With eyes closed, every time I heard the banging I smiled and the noise became the music that settled in my heart … and off to nap land I went!

When I woke up I wrote this down (while I have a perfect memory, sometimes I do forget) I saw that now my ‘heart’ was in charge, not my ‘head!’

I win! I thought! After 5 solid years of using the work I teach around living a principled life, what it takes to do that, how universal law plays a part, and understanding precisely how the mind works when it comes to personal results, here was an example … a great one!

There have been many others over these years … this was not the first, but it came with a cluster of other new habits that took ‘hold’ on that trip. It seems that all the work and practice is ‘popping’ left and right for me and I know it can for you.

You can operate your own ‘shift-ware’ by starting right now, regardless of your current circumstances. It costs nothing to do this. It takes time, yet it is not hard at all. Takes a bit of desire and persistence is all.

In January I will be conducting training online/conference that will provide an overview and deep understanding of how to begin the shift-ware process personally, and I’ll be the first to use an online support tool that has never been used in the corporate world before. It is in use by 10k students in universities only thus far. Besides the training calls, there is a highly interactive online classroom with deep analytics to capture your own shift-ware potential. Watch for details. It will be the first so will be at a very low price as I want to see the results, of course!

In the meantime, dear readers, I wish you a warm and wonderful holiday season, and I lift my glass to your prosperity burgeoning in 2013!

Idea Gratitude

“I am grateful to the idea that has used me.” Alfred Adler, Psychologist

When I first heard this quotation, I thought, “what does this mean?”  I was confused. An idea that ‘uses’ me?

If you’ve been following Drops of Awareness over the past several years, you likely already know what it means. And because you have been growing since you ‘knew’ (or did not) this, it bears repeating as “repetition is the first law of learning” and when we hear something again, we hear it differently. It becomes more robust for us.

There are two kinds of seeds: 1) physical seeds that grow in the ground and 2) spiritual seeds which are ideas. Ideas are thought energy and are always moving to and through us. We get ideas all the time and let them go. You could be waiting for a big one as you drive, think of it, and then get cut off by another driver, refocus on the driver, and ‘poof,’ the idea is gone. Where did it go? It circulated through you and back out into the universe and on to the next person. That is why it is critical to practice recognizing those ideas you want to reach your dreams and NOT let them go!

The physical seeds we can watch grow and even calculate how many days it will take for the seeds to sprout through the ground and into the light. But spiritual seeds – cannot be measured this way. They are governed by the law of gender or gestation. Our job is to hold the idea with desire and consistency so the universe can send us via attraction that which we have asked for. This is intentional or by default thinking.

Only humans can take a spiritual seed – and idea, and change that energy into physical form. The process is called the law of perpetual transmutation of radiant energy.

So here are the steps – the HOW an idea we get actually ‘uses us’ to move into physical form.

Step 1: We get an idea we love and we think about it a lot. We must do this consistently in spaced intervals over time and pepper it greatly with emotion.

Step 2: Over time the idea moves into our subconscious mind where it has an associated vibration to attract to you whatever is required to move it to physical form. In our subconscious mind it is hidden and reflects perfect faith in the idea.

Step 3: We take action toward what we want and what we want is now moving toward us at the same time. Our job is to ‘tune in to’ people and things that meet our wants for this goal to manifest and then act.

Step 4: Creation of physical form of the idea takes place.

So ideas are energy that change form, not unlike water boiling, that turns to steam and then dissipates. The steam still exists even though we cannot see it any more. So ideas are ‘given’ to us so they may use our bodies in action and our intellect to recognize what we need, and bring the idea to form. Without human beings all our planet would hold is animal life, plants, and water.

The big takeaway I had when I first learned this is to NOT WAIT to be grateful on Thanksgiving day, but to be grateful when I get a new idea that I love! Gratitude begins there and then and will actually bring about the idea in physical form … faster because of your love of that idea!
